1. Overview
When you use KekeLink, you trust us with your personal data. This notice describes how we collect and use your data whether you are a Rider requesting a trip or a Driver providing one via our WhatsApp bot. KekeLink services are intended for users aged 18 and above.
2. Data Collection and Uses
(a) Data You Provide:
- For All Users: We collect your contact info (phone number, name) when you interact with our bot.
- For Drivers: We collect identity verification (Government-issued ID), vehicle information, and background check data to ensure ecosystem safety.
- For Riders: We may collect photos of waybills or parcels being sent to ensure items match the description provided.
(b) Data Collected When You Use Our Services:
- Location Data: We receive and process the location pins you manually share with the bot. We use this solely to calculate distance (km), determine pricing, and connect you with the nearest driver. We do not track you in real-time or in the background. All interactions are also subject to WhatsApp's End-to-End Encryption and Privacy Policy.
- Trip Information: We log ride details such as requested pickup/dropoff addresses, distance traveled, and fares.
3. How We Use the Data
KekeLink uses data to enable reliable transportation. This includes matching Riders with available Drivers, calculating upfront fares using automated mapping formulas, processing payments, and maintaining safety. We also use data to detect "ghost bookings" or fraudulent behavior that negatively impacts the livelihood of our Keke partners.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We share necessary data between Riders and Drivers to facilitate the trip (e.g., sharing a Driver's name and vehicle details with a Rider, or sharing a Rider's pickup location with a Driver). We may also share data with law enforcement or insurance companies if required by applicable law, regulation, or in the event of an accident.
5. Your Legal Rights (NDPA Compliance)
KekeLink processes personal data in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023. You have the right to access your data, rectify inaccurate information, request erasure of your account, or withdraw consent at any time by contacting our official WhatsApp Support line.
